There is a very good interview of Cragi Murray on democracynow.org. Fascsinating chap and extraordinarily cnadid, given the information he has. No wonder his book is having trouble being published. It really is a serious indictment on Downing Street and Washington.

Of particualr interest is his information that the close relationship between Bush and Karimov was due largely to Enron's gas interests in the region. While the Western media protrayed the withdrawl of US troops from Uzbekistan as relatd to the massacre that took place last year, it was actually a result of Karimov strikign up a better financial deal with Putin.
