"...Israel needs no one but itself. If Israel does not resolve the conflict of its own free will and at its own initiative, it will not be resolved. If Israel does not establish the Palestinian state, it will not arise."
Alon Liel, former director general of the Foreign Ministry and member of the Council for Peace and Security, Haaretz, September 24
Perhaps Dr Liel needs reminding of the foreign aid budget of the American administration. Without the billions of dollars - and political capital - that find their way to the Jewish state every year, Israel would arguably cease to exist.

Give the Palestinians 3 billion a year and watch them become another 'brave little democracy'. Level playing field and all that.
Surely at some point even an ignorant American public is going to wake up to the fact they've spent so much on Israel's interests they can't fully address thir own. If that meme takes hold, look out.
That's why so many of the pro-Israel lobby works so furiously to keep such uncomfortable facts out of the media. They do a very effective job, BUT, the tide is turning.
Give the Palestinians 3 billion a year and you will have 3000 palestinian miliionares, along with 4.5 million Palestinians in poverty.
Stop military aid to Israel and the Palestinains will cease to exist.
Another Jewish partisan hiding behind an Arabic moniker. Ever heard of the courage of your convictions?
I see you had no counter-argument, just a problem with my given name.
Bravo.
Prove it.
