Peace Now documents the ongoing expansion of Israeli settlements across the West Bank, the building of Jewish-only roads, government support for illegal outposts and the effect of the "security" fence on Palestinians.
Israel is clearly very serious in its search for peace.

The Simon Wiesenthal Center's documentary, In Search of Peace (sic), has the memorable line in which the taking by Israeli forces of East Jerusalem is labelled a 'liberation'.
In short, in one word, it's all about lebensraum.
All the rest is obfuscatory hyperbole.
Shabadoo you have it in one.
Israelis are the new Nazis.
AN ugly heritage and an ugly sight on the ground.
WHich leads me to ponder why you and your fellow suburban gauleiters have poisoned your own Jewish inheritance for this albatross of moral debasement.
Anyone see the refuseniks on SBS last night?
I see Ant as one of these brave and thoughtful people; had he lived in Israel he'd have refused. I would like to think I'd have the courage to do so as well.
Meanwhile you Shabadon't and the other blowflies that buzz around this place, you are the fat, intolerant orthodox bloke who shouted abuse at the refuseniks, looking for all the world like an enraged imam, a mad mullah. Or the brother inlaw from hell; big, thick headed cipher without the capacity for independent thought, or for argunent that calls for anything more complex than abuse.
Yep, great doco. And Glenn, thanks for the comment. I would never serve in the territories. Indeed, I interviewed one of the more famous refusniks for my book while in Israel earlier in the year. His insights and bravery truly shone.
