Iranian voices of reason

The Iranian government seems determined to acquire nuclear technology while the world decides how to respond. The Iranian Mullahs may be fundamentalists but I'd suggest other nations should concern us more.

A number of Iranian bloggers discuss the current crisis. Mr Behi sends a clear message to the Iranian authorities:

"I grew up under war and sanctions, I do not want to see Iran under sanction again. This government cares about it's ideology first and then the people. That is insane. Who said that we should cut relations with US and pay this huge price? This is enough."

My heart goes out to the people of Iran, but I don't know if they have any say in the matter of relations with the US. As it did with iraq, the Bush adminstration decided long ago that they were going to either invade or overthrow the Iranian leadership. No matter what Iran does or says, the US and the UK will create a pretext to attack Iran.

When the Shah was in power, peopl like Chenye and Rumsfeld were all for Iran developing it's own nuclear fuel cycle for peaceful purposes. Now that they have the gall to turn around and say that they don't see why Iran shoudl want a peaceful nuclear power program.
