Connections

Courtesy of American commentator Jeff Blankfort:

"On Wednesday, August 17th, I interviewed Nafeez Mosaddeq Ahmed, author of The War on Freedom, which was one of the best books that has been written about the events of 9/11, about his new book, The War on Truth: 9/11, Disinformation and the Anatomy of Terrorism, just published by the Olive Branch Press. It provides the most detailed arguments that I have seen that link Al Queda and other international "terrorist" networks to elements of the US, UK, and Pakistani intelligence agencies, among others. Listen to the interview here."

UPDATE: The interview is extraordinary, all 28 minutes of it. Ahmed paints a disturbing picture of Western collusion with Islamic fundamentalism. He points to a Robin Cook penned column on July 8, the day after the London bombings:

"Bin Laden was, though, a product of a monumental miscalculation by western security agencies. Throughout the 80s he was armed by the CIA and funded by the Saudis to wage jihad against the Russian occupation of Afghanistan. Al-Qaida, literally "the database", was originally the computer file of the thousands of mujahideen who were recruited and trained with help from the CIA to defeat the Russians. Inexplicably, and with disastrous consequences, it never appears to have occurred to Washington that once Russia was out of the way, Bin Laden's organisation would turn its attention to the west."

And who was it in Washington that insisted on this course of action, to arm the mujahideen?

The same people who urged nuclear buildup to counter the virtually non-existent threat from Russia. The same people who brought you the latest Iraq war on a prospectus either deliberately false or simply wildly off the mark.

Funny how the neocons, who have never been right about anything, have parlayed this incompetence into a position of unprecedented power to father even greater catastrophes.

Indeed.
And yet most people don't even know the bokum of the philosophy. why? the media aren't doing their job.
For many people, to even consider that the whole Iraq war was a con is too much, so therefore it's easier to slam opponents or defend govt 'rationale.'
