Daniel Day-Lewis (come back to the screen, Daniel, we miss you!) travels to the Gaza Strip and meets Palestinian families suffering under occupation and the psychologists assisting them. Full marks to Murdoch's London Times for publishing this piece.

I notice that he didn't speak to any Israeli settlers. He didn't attempt to advance their perspective at all. Do you think that might have influenced the balance of the story, Antony?
Also, his choice of crazy ole' Rafe Eitan as a quote? That's like interviewing the head of the KKK and pretending his quote is representative of middle America. The whole thing really is just stilted and unacademic. He reached conclusions he'd already planned on before he got there.
Sorry, hit the wrong button the first time, and the second time my name wasn't entered.
Hello Mr. Loewenstein:
Thank you for posting this remarkable story of survival.
What can be done?
Why? Why? Why?
There is no answer - none - how does one justify abuse?
I believe those who inflict such horrid abuse on a people also need to be seen by a psychologist.
How do they explain to Mervat and Yasmine - why? What explanation could they give for such cruelty? Land? Onwership? Birth Right? What - what explanation would make me say "Oh, now I get it, now I understand why you MUST abuse a people" - but no, nothing - nothing can explain this away. Nothing.
I will stop now, sorry, feel like I am ranting, very upsetting. Such suffering, such hypocrisy.
Peace,
Skylark
Yes, I always like to take my international news from a b-list celeb...
Lowenstein is a Judenrat!
