Until relatively recently, I'd never thought of Iceland as the home of stunning music. Sigur Ros changed all that. Atmospheric, ambient, angelic, challenging, obscure, beautiful. Just some of the appropriate words for this unique band. They're finally coming to Australia and I'll be seeing them in early August at Sydney's Enmore Theatre. And in news just in, their new album will be released in September.
For those who know and understand, let's prepare ourselves. For newcomers, check out their warped attitude, songs sung in Icelandic and their own language and music to die for. Band of the decade (although Radiohead, who really introduced Sigur Ros to the world a few years ago, probably deserve equal billing.)

Oh yes, Bjork certainly is stunning, one of the greatest. I knew this post would get some people all concerned.
I love Bjork. Rest easy, readers...
I'm going to the Enmore show too. I found them through Radiohead, and I've never heard anything else like them.
