So a Jewish extremist has killed four Palestinians in an event likely to inflame tension in the region. Let it be understood that there are now thousands of Jewish fundamentalists determined to disrupt the upcoming "disengagement" by whatever means. Another massacre - on the scale of the 1994 event perpetrated by Baruch Goldstein in Hebron killing 29 Palestinians - is brewing and almost inevitable.
The Israeli government and its various world supporters have consistently refused to subdue or control Jews who openly advocate Palestinian ethnic cleansing, murder and mayhem. Why? Jews shouldn't have to manage Jews, so the thinking went. The results are plain to see.

When an increasing number of Americans wonder aloud whether the tens of billions already given to Israel are worth the hassle, I suspect I know the answer.
Israel is on notice.

Ah, incitement from the Palestinian and Arab side. Yep, all Arabs want to kill Jews, I forgot.
I'm well aware of this material and have often condemned extremism and lack of freedoms in the Arab media on this blog.
Jewish extremism, frequently ignored in the Israeli mainstream and tacitly supported by many, including the Sharon govt, has been causing chaos for years, in the territories, destroying Arab crops, infrastructure and injuring many, many Palestinians on their own land.
But I suppose they're only Arabs, so you don't really care about that...
But Ali, Israel is a segregationist state based on colonial settlement and ethnic cleansing. Do you really think that Israel could have existed without terrorism? Sharon himself has been indicted for war crimes by Belgium though the charges were dropped because he's a Prime Minister. He was also found to be "culpable" over the massacres at Shatila and Sabra. You seem to think that delivering bombs by air and by tank is somehow morally superior to delivering them by hand and sticking aroung while they go off.

Ethnic cleansing happened in 1948, when 800000 Palestinians were driven out, in 1967, when 300000 were driven out, and it still happens. Have you ever heard the figure for the number of Palestinian refugees? It's four million. THAT's some ethnic cleansing.
Then again, someone who puts "Israeli occupation" in quotation marks, as if it just doesn't exist, is not worth talking to.
