Cute -- though wouldn't it be more accurate to have a characiture of those great mates Adolf Eichmann and the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem? What better to symbolize the domination of the UN these days by anti-Americans, anti-Semites, and a raving lunatic Islamic bloc?

Very insightful Shab - whose mouth did you take that comment out of? Let me guess.Do these individuals you have named hold a power of veto on the Security Council? How have they "dominated" the UN?
'the domination of the UN these days by anti-Americans, anti-Semites, and a raving lunatic Islamic bloc?'We like to call it 'the rest of the world' Shabba. And as DBO says, the rest of the world hardly dominates. If they did, Israel would have been forced to adhere to all those resolutions it has ignored.
Glenn, I must agree with your sharp point. America and Israel have a sense that the UN is biased against them. What a joke!
Who, DBO, who? Who is planting words in my mouth (or taking over my fingers as I type?) What sort of argument is that? The UN is a manifestly and undeniably anti-semitic organisation. Hello, Durban, people? This is also, by the way, the outfit that lets Libya chair the Human Rights Commission. Every time Israel tries to defend itself, its the subject of resolutions condemning it...how many resolutions have been passed against suicide terrorism? And that's just for a start...and this ignores oil-for-palaces, UN peacekeeper-pedophiles, and the ridiculouslness of one-country-one-vote, even if most of those countries are crappy tin-horn dictatorships.
Defend itself? It is the occupier!
Pan: Occupier how? Of the West Bank, or of the entire parcel of land?
Occupier of land, denier of basic human rights, source of conflict, and agressor. And you say the Israelis are defending themselves? That's laughable. Why mingle with semantics? If the refugees were given their right of return, if the Israeli military would end military activites against Arabs, and if Palestinians were given full rights, there would hardly be conflict. Not over "Israel proper" or anything.
