The inhumane occupation

"Another paediatrician and another baker got a bullet in the face from a paratroopers unit. All day we search houses and kill children."

The "Wild West" of Israel's occupation is detailed in a compelling report published in mass circulation paper, Yediot Ahronot.

The occupation has corrupted untold numbers of Israeli men and women and dehumanised generations of Palestinians.

Does this mean you regard generations of Palestinians as sub-human, Ant?

Gosh, and I thought I was a RWDB.

Call me Odysseus.

Anyone know why the two words have different meanings? Is there a linguistics professor in the house?

The post is about Israeli soldiers forced to perform acts of evil for their state and how this has corrupted their basic humanity. I would add the not insignificant role the occupation has played in disabling the moral compasses of millions of Jews in the diaspora as well.

Ant also referred to the dehumanising effect on the victims of occupation. This is an utterly innocuous statement.

Andjam, if you wish to derail the thread into hair splitting semantic territory that's safer for you, you can do so on your own.

Amazing how often Israel apologists use this tactic - rushing off into minutiae when in danger from generalities, and zooming back to the general when the details pose questions you can't answer. Is there some talking point central for you guys with tips and techniques?
