Warm and fuzzy

Letter in the Sydney Morning Herald, November 10:

"It was heart-warming to read that the parents of a Palestinian boy have donated his organs to be used by Arabs and Jews alike ("Dead boy gives gift of life to Israelis", November 9). It's equally heart-warming to know that in Israeli hospitals, no distinction is made between Palestinian and Jewish patients, even after homicide attacks."

Diane Armstrong Dover Heights

Colin Andersen is Sydney Director of Deir Yassin Remembered. His letter in response is unlikely to be published in the SMH:

"Israel apologist, Diane Armstrong (Herald, November 10), describes how her heart was warmed by the news that the parents of a Palestinian boy donated his organs to "Arabs and Jews alike", and by Israeli hospitals which do not discriminate between Palestinian and Jewish patients, "even after homicide attacks." Unfortunately, she didn't say whether her heart was also warmed by her favourite soldiers who shot the boy in the head while occupying his land."

Why would she say that? In fact, why should she say anything to please an apologist for Palestinian terrorism?

However, she could state that whatever idiot allows a 12 year old to play with a realistic gun in a war zone should be arrested and whatever shildren they have left should be put in foster care.

Of course, that would be a hell of a lot of children.
