The Bush administration and its various proxies have been arguing this point for years though increasing evidence suggests otherwise.

The idea that exporting democracy - and US 'democracy' is synonymous with cronyism - is what the rest of the world wants, is why Iraq happened and why it's a disaster.
Thanks for your insight dreamboat. Although the chances of you having ever experienced something like terrorism is nil, I commend you for your arm-chair journalism.
