Tale of two papers

Sydney Morning Herald, December 15:

"Malaysia has delivered a blow to Australia's East Asian aspirations, saying it is not part of East Asia and should not expect to become part of a future community."

Murdoch's Australian, December 15:

"Malaysia yesterday formally buried its opposition to Australia's continuing involvement in East Asian affairs."

I like the Herald headline:

'Malaysia delivers blow to Australia'.

I want to know when the shipment arrives.

Mmm, never thought of that. Hilarious. A sneaky sub, perhaps?

It seems as thoug the poor old once-great Fairfax press continues its downward spiral. Clearly with so many journos on strike, they have to run whatever they can, even if it means that very junior and inexperienced ones do not get their work reviewed first.

The SMH account of the Summit is just bizarre. It is a shame, because it would be better to have as many responsible broadsheets in Sydnet as possible.

Yes, it's disgusting when they report news that is embarrassing to the current regime. It's about time we eliminated news organisations that don't run the Murdoch line. Circumstances have changed. We simply can't afford to have different views anymore. It undermines the Howard government and thus, by definition, the interests of the nation. *rolls eyes*

Yopu would do well to learn how to read. If you think that silly bimbo's story was an accurate report you are too far gone to worry about.

Oh, and isn't it time you called somebody a "racist" a "fascist" or any one of your other childish sophomric names?

I have to wait for you to say something racist or fascistic first.

Shouldn't take long.

I've not researched which one of the articles is correct but given the Silly's history I know where my money would be.
